3 Exciting New Features of the Budderfly Mobile App
The Budderfly mobile app is a helpful tool that makes managing energy more convenient for our customers. We recently released a new, enhanced version of the app with fresh features and capabilities that make overseeing your locations from your devices even easier.
Below are some of the exciting new features you can access when you download the Budderfly mobile app to your phone or tablet.
Control your thermostat, lighting, and more... remotely.
Want to change the thermostat or turn off the lights at your facility, but don’t have the time to stop by in person? That’s no longer an issue, as our app provides users with the ability to control equipment remotely. This is especially helpful for those managing multiple locations, as you can save time and energy on the go.
In the app, you can now change the temperature setpoints and modes of your thermostat and turn different light switches off and on. You can even set schedules to change temperature or lighting automatically at various times and days. This gives you greater control and helps reduce energy waste, as you can always ensure HVAC and lights aren’t running unnecessarily.

Receive alerts directly to your smartphone.
One of the benefits of working with Budderfly is that we provide ongoing monitoring of your equipment. If an issue arises, such as an abnormal spike in energy consumption that may indicate a technical failure, our technology sends proactive alerts. This lets our customers know about small problems before they become catastrophic.
Our app enables these alerts to be sent as push notifications directly to your phone, in addition to email notifications. You can then open the app for more information about the alerts.
In the Budderfly app alert tab, you can see the total number of alerts you may have, which can be filtered for a specific site, day, week, month, or year. Each alert in the app contains a description of the alert, the timestamp when it originated, the associated site, the piece of equipment, the severity of the alert, and the source. With these notices and descriptions at your fingertips, you can quickly take action.

Check your equipment performance reports on the go.
The Budderfly Customer Portal provides our customers with data about their energy consumption and the performance of equipment including HVAC, refrigeration controls, and lighting. Now our app makes it quick and simple to see this data remotely.
The app provides real-time metrics such as current temperature, equipment status, equipment availability, power consumption, and total energy use. It also includes reports on equipment metrics over time which can be filtered by hour, day, month, and year. Information about each piece of equipment can be viewed in the app as well, such as the type of equipment, its energy consumption, and if there are any alerts associated with it.
All these features are currently available in the most recent version of the app, alongside a refreshed look and feel that simplifies navigation.
